What was Pt. Nehru doing between 1st August, 1947 to 15th August, 1947?

The time between 1st august to 15th august , 1947 were very unstable politically for india.
we were due to get independence but nothing was certain .
so , all the eminent leader of that time including nehru were busy discussing these issues.

In 1930, Congress and Gandhi were quite content with demanding dominion status. Extremists (HRA/HSRA) wanted ‘Purna Swaraj’ (complete independence).
